Strengthening Roots: Food Autonomy and The Summer Berry Company Expand Their Collaboration
Following the successful installation of LEDFan technology at The Summer Berry Company last year, we are proud to continue this partnership with one of the UK’s leading strawberry growers in the second phase of their greenhouse innovation journey.
This collaboration is the result of years of close cooperation, including extensive trials conducted in partnership with Reading University. Over the past years, these efforts have helped TSBC and Food Autonomy conduct extensive trials to evaluate optimal lighting and climate strategies for high-performance strawberry cultivation.
TSBC selected LEDFan for its unique dual-functionality: combining high-efficiency LED lighting with precision airflow. This integration allows growers to not only enhance photosynthesis and transpiration but also maintain a stable microclimate that reduces disease pressure which is a critical factor in berry production.
This project highlights how collaboration, research, and innovation can drive sustainable growth in horticulture. We’re grateful for the trust TSBC has placed in us and look forward to continuing this partnership.
