Commissioning of Our Grow Lights: Enhancing Smart Greenhouse Control

March 12. 2025

This week, we successfully carried out the commissioning of LEDFan grow lights at a customer’s greenhouse in the Czech Republic.

But what does commissioning mean?

Our advanced wireless control platform, CultiMesh®, allows growers complete flexibility in grouping and managing their lamps. To enable this functionality, each lamp must first be localized within the system. During the commissioning process, we identify and map every individual lamp, ensuring seamless integration into the network.

Additionall, we collect real-time performance data to continuously monitor the condition of each lamp. This enables us to detect and address even minor anomalies promptly, preventing potential issues before they escalate. As a result, the plants receive uninterrupted light exposure, ensuring optimal growth and productivity.

📽️ In the video below, you can see our colleague performing lamp localization—indicated by the blinking light. This process requires no physical connection, additional hardware, or manual setup to enable wireless control. In the near future, this step will be fully remote, further simplifying the commissioning process.

At Food Autonomy, we design our lamps to be smart—bringing intelligence, efficiency, and ease of use to modern greenhouse operations.
