We are pleased to welcome Mario Taal to the Food Autonomy team as our new  Regional Sales Manager for the Benelux region.

Mario brings with him over two decades of experience in the horticultural sector. Since first arriving in the Westland region in 2000, he has been captivated by the ingenuity and dedication of growers, how something so small can be nurtured into something extraordinary. That fascination quickly turned into a lifelong career in horticulture, where Mario has become a well-known and respected figure. 

Living in Scheveningen, Mario is a proud father of two daughters and a grandfather to one granddaughter. His personal and professional life are both deeply rooted in growth, care, and innovation values that align perfectly with our mission at Food Autonomy. 

After spending the past two and a half years in international horticultural supply, Mario is excited to return to the world of LED horticultural lighting. He shared: 

“I’m really looking forward to brainstorming potential solutions with customers again and developing these into the realization of the project. I’m convinced that with Food Autonomy’s portfolio and flexibility, I can offer a solution for every grower and situation. I’m looking forward to visiting the growers in their greenhouses again and to working with the people at Food Autonomy.”
